>>God Squad, Here are your assignments, should you choose
to accept them.
You have a few things to do.
Pastor P., your assignment is fellowship.
RIT students need to feel connected to God and to one
another.
>> Fellowship?
Yea, I can do that.
You know we can incorporate activities that focus on fun,
fellowship, food.
As college students we deal with so much, midterm papers, and
final exams and term papers.
Every once in a while, it’s good to come down from all that and
just to get together with one another, have fun with one
another, experience joy with one another.
Fellowship, I can definitely do that.
>>Pastor D., your assignment is encouragement.
>>Yes, encouragement.
It’s essential.
You know, as you just said Pastor P.
they go through so much, exams, midterms, papers, I mean even
their social issues.
You know, I think I have a way that we can fix this.
I’ll do a bi-weekly Bible study, and maybe even some workshops.
What could be better and more encouraging than a community of
believers coming together encouraging one another?
>> Excellent!
This next piece you two have to work together to be successful.
It’s worship.
A living vibrant worship life is essential to daily living.
It also helps a person to accomplish their mission.
>> I got it.
How about we have a worship service every Sunday afternoon,
where we incorporate fellowship, encouragement and worship into
the services, what do you think about that?
>>You know Pastor P, I think you’re right.
Listen, it’s easy.
Every Sunday 4:00pm, listen, we’ll even do it in Jones
Chapel.
I think this can work.
>>Excellent!
Now you guys wait here, and you will receive power from on high.
After you get it, go!
The RIT Community, the students, They’re waiting for you.
>>You know Pastor P.
I think we should use the link.
We can put positive and encouraging quotes on there.
We can even maybe do things like community service projects.
We need to find a way to stay in touch with this community we’ve
become a part of now.
>> You know also, we can look into incorporating students here
on the campus into the worship services we have here on Sunday
afternoons.
We have dancers on campus, we have singers, we have musicians,
let’s incorporate them into the service, so their not just
spectators but that they’re a part of the service.
>> You know what, you’re right.
I mean we could have a praise team.
I don’t know, we could even have maybe a dance ministry.
You know we’ll start in Jones chapel.
And then from Jones Chapel we’ll move to Allen Chapel.
From Allen Chapel we’ll go maybe to Ingle Auditorium.
From Ingle auditorium we’ll go to the Gordon Field House and
beyond.
>>Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
That ambition is good, it’s good that we have that, but let’s at
least tell them who we are and where we are.
