So, two atoms walk into a bar,
and one says, "Hey, I think I lost an electron."
And the other ones says, "So, are you sure?"
And he goes, "Yeah, I'm positive!"
Alright, so check it out.
Apex makes a ton of cases.
Usually, the ones I've seen from them in the past, that I've used,
have been mini ITX cases and micro ATX cases,
so they're very small.
And this is actually the first mid-tower ATX case that I've seen from them.
Now this is called the Amoris and basically
it's all black, steel framed, plastic outside, case.
And it's actually pretty decent.
It's got some nice features.
The front is definitely interesting in the way it opens.
It opens like that. It reminds me of Star Wars.
Or Star Trek, I'm not sure.
Big, big, big big, 140mm fan, up there in the front.
As you can see, right there.
It does have two, 3.25 inch base, right there.
I'm sorry, 3.5 inch base.
Those are kind of going the way of the dinosaur,
but I'm glad to see them there
because you can put good stuff in there.
There's a couple of fan controllers that are really small
that I like, that fit there.
And you can always put your media card reader there as well.
Also, right above it, you'll see you have four 5.25 inch base.
And that's basically what you can see on the front of this.
Also, just so you know, all of this right here is mesh.
Literally, all of it. It's all mesh.
And it's the matching mesh that you get on side panel
which is going to provide all your VGA ventilation through here.
So you actually have a lot of airflow through the front and through the side.
That means your exhaust fan is doing a lot of work
and that front intake fan is doing a lot of work as well.
Now, the input and output on this thing would be up here at the top.
Your front panel right up here.
You have a power connector, you got two USB 2.0 ports here,
input and output for headset/microphones.
You have an eSATA port which is very convenient to have up there.
That's kind of a premium feature.
Two more USB 2.0 ports and then right here,
that would be your reset button.
And then right next to it, you actually don't see it,
but this little, tiny triangle is your hard drive indicator light.
Now here's your VGA panel that we saw shortly,
a few seconds ago.
And, thumbscrews. Very useful.
And these are the ones that hang on.
Don't go anywhere, you're not going to lose them. I like that.
Side panel. Fit's on very well.
Came right off with no effort, no issues.
And it seems to line up too, when you put it back.
You will notice that over here, at the top back,
you do have two water cooling holes.
Even though they are not seeming to be cut.
I guess that's a good thing for now, you can leave them uncut.
You will notice that you have a 120mm exhaust fan.
This does use a top mounted power supply.
Input output shield goes here.
And you do have seven expansion ports down here for PCI expansion cards.
As well as having a lot of interesting meshing here
for letting hot air out of your VGA.
Now, one of the most interesting things in this case, that I saw,
definitely something I've never seen before,
is this little button right here.
This is a little switch to reset your CMOS.
So incase you don't have one of those super expensive,
high end motherboards that has button on the back,
or a button on the inside on the board itself,
basically, on the inside it has a little input/output
like a front panel connector.
You plug it into your DIP Switch, that you would normally trip
to reset your CMOS and then pull the battery.
You pretty much set that in there and then when you want
you just slide this over as such.
And that will basically let you reset your CMOS.
Push the button.
You don't have to go find a jumper and jump those pins.
It's just literally, well, I'll show you.
It's literally just a little...
Just as if it was a front panel connector,
you have two little micro switches,
and you set them up on each pin and then one is to jump
and one is to regular default settings.
So very, very cool.
It also gives you, this is the actual fan plug, Molex,
for this fan back here.
And they up, up through the top, up around,
and then here, so they can go directly into your motherboard.
The other one can keep going.
All your front panel connectors are right over here.
You will also notice that you do have tool-less, just about everything.
These 3.5's are tool-less. The 5.25's are tool-less.
And the 3.5 inch hard drive base are also tool-less, completely.
Basically you just put in your hard drives right up in here,
slide them in and you're good to go.
So, really nice overall design.
Now, just as far as letting you know what works in here and what doesn't work.
This does take micro ATX and ATX motherboards
and powersupplies.
So basically you can do the small stuff,
or you can do the full sized stuff, it's really up to you.
They will both fit in here.
And there is good enough insulation to run a multiple GPU set up.
But this is probably more oriented to your business user
or your simple gaming set ups.
And it is, again, very affordable, and looks pretty decet.
So, good stuff from Apex.
