Good morning class. Once you login onto Gliffy.com
you're going to start a...
open up a new canvas here
uh... pressing that
plus sign the there
that will keep you
a new campus to start your flow chart
so the first thing you wanted to do is...
after you've open up that window...
click on Flow Chart and you'll see these various uhm shapes here
you can scroll down and there are other shapes that you can use to create your Flow Chart.
All you're doing is a simple click and drag
Let's that I want that one to be my Title.
Now click this one here.
I'm just creating just a simple flow chart so I can get going
I like using the grid. Simply because I can align
my actually shapes up...
on the lines and squares in some way up
you know just measuring things out.
Here I think I'm going to stretch this one here...
To be the title and I can move it
practically anywhere I like
and you can do the same for the others as well...just move them and stretch them anyway you like.
You want to uhm also add
arrows
these arrows...
will allow
the viewer... whosever's going to view it...
to uh...
actually
pretty much get their thinking going
so you can use this little
symbol here to
turn it...
in the direction you want the arrow
moved over
you want to have to go there
you may want to uh... and you can also make your arrow
narrow...
bring it in ...you know that's your choice.
Here let me show you this part here
where once you uh...
type in text or whatever...
you can also go to the colors and fill-in
your actual arrows or your boxes once you have clicked on them...
and add color to be more creative.
Let's just go here and double-click
because we're going to add text here...
add and
once you have your text in
you can go
to this particular area here and increase the font using this button
here.
But um... I'll let you experiment with that.
Here double-click here. You want to put your topics.
You want to type in Ruby Bridges' family...
double-click...talk about serge---gation.
Segregation.
And on-and-on. You can also add another layer...
Let me bring in my
Favorite one here...click and drag
another layer here
an add arrows just to show the flow of everything.
And so, if you run into any trouble
once you've started the process or you get a little confused just watch this uh..
screencast again.
And then you can uh
email me as soon as possible to let me know you're a little confused...
or got stuck in an area.
Alright! Thanks for watching.
