Welcome to FOREXTrader PRO’s video tutorial series.
Today we will be going over the general navigation of the platform.
Each of the items we discuss here will be covered in more detail in our other tutorials.
When you open FOREXTrader Pro for the first time you will see it is set up like it is shown here.
This is simply the default view of the platform.
You are able to customize it to your liking by moving any of the tabs or modules to new locations.
You have your trading panel from where you will execute market orders.
Below this you have four rate grids - current rates, popular markets...
a watchlist- that you will use to define the products you would like to follow most closely, and Market Indices.
Next you will see a series of trader tools including current trade ideas, emerging patterns, and technical analysis.
Below this you have the FOREXInsider which is streaming market commentary published by FOREX.com’s global research team,
Today’s News provided by Dow Jones Newswire,
and an Economic Calendar to keep you informed of past and upcoming announcements and data.
On the right side of your screen you will find your charts as well as your trade management tabs.
They are open positions, active orders, and activity log.
At the top of your platform you will find a ribbon with several menus.
Many of the options shown in the ribbon represent existing or additional modules that you can add to your platform.
Others, such as Enter Order, allow you to take a specific action such as entering a new trade.
The options under Tools in the Trading menu of the ribbon are Rate Alerts,
Margin/Pip Calculator, and Margin Utilization.
The Customize section allows you to edit your trading preferences as you can see here.
Another icon you will see in this menu is Strategy Center.
You can use this feature to either apply or create automated trading strategies that will appear directly on your charts.
The research and ideas ribbon gives you a wide range of tools for both fundamental and technical analysis.
Here you will find options for additional tools to dock on your platform that are not provided by default.
For example, completed chart patterns.
Live clients will have access to even more technical analysis including Technical Indicators and Japanese Candlesticks.
There is a wide variety of market analysis in this menu and I recommend trying out each one to determine
which are most applicable to your trading strategy.
The next menu of the ribbon that you will see is charting.
This is where you will go to add chart tabs and change the preferences for your charts and technical indicators.
After charts is account.
From here, you are able to view your reports, change your password, update your contact information,
request a margin change, make a deposit or request a withdrawal,
link multiple live accounts, or delink multiple live accounts.
One of the core features of FOREXTrader Pro is the flexibility it gives you to customize virtually all features including layout,
charting and trading preferences.
As you will see in our Customization tutorial, most customization can be done without selecting the customize menu,
but we have grouped various levels of customization here so you can see your options.
The trading and charting section can also be found in the trading and charting menus of the ribbon.
The platform section is unique to the customization menu.
The last menu you will see is Help.
From here you are able to access live chat representatives 24 hours a day during market hours,
or view our full video tutorial series, a detailed user guide,
and a trader forum where you can learn about the latest updates,
interact with other traders, and give us your feedback and suggestions on how we can improve the platform.
That covers the basic navigation of FOREXTrader Pro.
Thank you for joining us today.
