Doo doo doo doo - Studio G-dcast!
6 days in San Francisco. 6 stories. 12 artists.
(Ding!)
I now invoke the aid of the one ruler Hashem.
in telling the story of a great woman and her man. But as we begin we recall
the words of Rav Natan
"With each mitzvah comes reward both here and beyond."
With such promise we pan to the hero of our story
A woman of money and of sensual glory. She was known far and wide for her strength
and her beauty
A woman like this could afford to be choosy
one day as she reposed in the heights of her home
through her window she saw the rise of sea foam
400 gold seahorses galluped to shore
a client on his way, wealthy to be sure
Her payment arrived and she look to the sea
behold a man swimming with four triumphant tzitzit
And though she was a woman who could make a man cry
upon the sight this man her mouth went dry
finally and worn the man collapsed on the shore
wondering if he could move a step more, but when he turned his eyes
the heights of the castle with joy he threw off his clothes even, his tassel
before him stood ladders, each one hundred feet tall
Six silver one gold, seven in all, at last he had climbed his prize was in sight
but just then tzitzit arose and those tassles took flight
as he hit the ground the lady was incensed
why was she not desired, what a turn of events! By the goddess of love have a I
been rejected
have you not learned that I am women perfected
by Hashem no, your beauty is blinding but my tzitzit have taken great
pains to remind me
we must remember that you feel you've been wrong. With each mitzvah comes reward
both here and beyond
despite it all the woman felt so abused she demanded
address and stayed there bemused
suddenly impassioned she knew the task at hand
she left with her belongings, everything she had. On the way to Rav Hiyya she gave all
that she owned
and as her travel went on, her face stayed of stone. And by Hashem she
reached Hiyya
and to prove she was worthy she opted not for revenge but to convert
in a hurry. "My lady," asked Hiyya, a man of wisdom and prudence,
"have you laid eyes on one of my students?"
our heroes brows turn inward and rough then she turned her head down
and her cheeks grew flush
a man never to judge and a heart still pure
Rav smiled and promised, "Go enjoy what is yours."
and so are heroes retire
happy and good both having lived mitzvoth as well as they could
She released envy for the sake of respect and love. And he donned tzit tzit,
in the name of Hashem above.
And as our tale ends, once again speaks Rav Natan,
"With each mitzvah comes reward, both here and beyond."
