My name is Barbara Esses and I do events for a living. I'm Ruthie Hecht; I'm an event planner
and I work with and for my mother. We're going to teach you the do's and don'ts for the perfect
wedding. When groomsmen are chosen, again a very hard decision, who do you leave out,
who do you include, how many do you have, too many, too few. You then want them to dress
complimentary to the groom. So after it's been decided what the groom's going to wear,
you decide what the groomsmen are going to wear. It's extremely nice if the groom provides
the tie, the bow tie, or some bit of the clothing to the groomsmen, so there is some unification,
and that they feel they've been somewhat paid attention to and not left aside because they're
much easier to dress than bridesmaids. Groomsmen are usually very handsome and very easy to
dress. Their biggest problem usually is listening to what somebody else wants them to wear when
they have their own taste, but if you're a good groomsmen you'll just say yes and smile
when you walk down the aisle, and walk as slowly as you're asked to.
