Hi, this is Cable on behalf of Expert Village. When working with a frame grab application
such as Frame thief, to capture animated artwork you need to take a couple minutes to set up
your project before you start capturing your images. Now open up Frame thief. And you need
to choose a new animation. Now what this does is ask you, where do you want this computer
to save your project. So I've made a folder on the desktop called capture. Now within
this capture, we'll call it ball, because we're capturing our bouncing ball project.
Click save. And then it brings up another window that just verifies that you're going
to save it in the folder called capture. You can click ok. Here's our file folder we just
made called capture. Now if we open it up, we should see our frame thief project, which
is called ball. In the same folder as this project file we'll also see the file frames.
The individual pictures that the camera has sent to the computer. They'll all be in this
same directory. And it's important for you to realize where you're saving your media.
Because we'll need that later when we export our final movie. And when you start to capture
your images, you should see, more frames appear in the file folder. Now normally you wouldn't have the folder
open. I just wanted you to see the frames appear in the folder. And that's where our
files are stored.
