What are your legal rights if you get bit by a dog
in Ohio? Hi I'm attorney Chuck Boyk. A common question
that I'm asked especially in the spring and summer is
what are your legal rights? Under Ohio law you have six years
from the date of the dog bite in order to pursue a claim under Ohio law.
Under Ohio law, you can collect for your medical bills,
your pain, suffering, inconvenience, and if there's any permanent injuries
such as infections or scars. One issue that comes up quite often is whether
or not the owner of the dog
has homeowners coverage or coverage that would
(uh) allow you to collect money under Ohio law.
Feel free to order our book "The Ohio Dog Bite Book"
and I'd be happy to meet with you and talk about your legal rights.
