>> Is your plan to do a foreign language?
If not, I still have two more electives each year.
>> I would like to say that I plan my day but rarely does my day end the way I thought it was going to.
>> How are you doing?
It's a good day.
>> I enjoy meeting with every single student and talking about their, about where they're going and the classes they're taking.
>> This semester is amazing.
You're doing a nice job, okay?
>> I truly never know where I'm going to be and what I'm going to be doing.
Is that your ultimate goal?
I know that tomorrow, my plan is to be out in the hall all day long and calling out kids.
But there may be a time I need to be called back to the office, back to my office, because a student is crying, broke up with a boyfriend, any of those possibilities.
That may seem on the larger scale of things small in their life, but to them, that moment, it's huge.
And how do you get them through that crisis, so they can be successful tomorrow.
>> Ms. Stopperan, she's impacted my life so much where I wouldn't be where I am tomorrow.
My junior year, I ended up getting pregnant.
I knew that if I told her, she would do anything to help me.
She would, you know, call me, check up, make sure I'm coming in.
If she wasn't in my life, I would have a lot of struggles, and I don't know if I would have graduated last year.
>> You're taking challenging courses.
>> You can't say enough about Kris.
As a counselor, she doesn't spend a lot of time counseling kids.
She's more into helping them, guiding help, and helping them be successful, and move O and she will work endless hours to do that for one kid.
>> When kids are in turmoil, they have a tunnel vision and they can't see past the immediate, ah, chaos that they're in.
But sometimes helping them peel back this onion and just giving them a glimmer of hope.
And it's any one of these is all it takes for them to be a success, it's perfect.
What do you want to do after you graduate?
Every one of my students are my kids.
And you want them to finish, you want them to be successful.
And you do, you do what it takes to get them through.
>> Thank you very much.
Nice job.
