Hi. Welcome to this short film about the Minoru Webcam, and Plane of Screen
Make sure you are wearing your 3D glasses!
In the Minora webcam tutorial
it advises you to set the horizontal shifts
so that there are no fringes where your face is
and that sets effectively the plane of the screen
to be right here
..and everything in front of it to jump out of the screen - like my hands
the setup would look like this
in fact, my advice is to set the horizontal shift,
so that the nearest point to the camera, that you can see
(in this case, it's the keyboard here)
is the bit with no fringes
- and everything behind that point
will appear to be behind the plane of the screen
Everything in front of that point will "jump out"
So I can reach my hands forward to the plane of the screen - here
it's as if I'm tapping the screen
..but if I reach beyond there:
it will jump out of the screen towards you
like that
I think this is a much more effective way of setting up the webcam
