Hi, I'm Kara Denholm on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be making a Tofu pumpkin
pie. Tofu pumpkin pie is a healthy alternative to a great dessert and incorporates extra
proteins into your desserts. It's a great way to get a non-vegetarian friends hooked
on tofu. Our ingredients we're going to be using today are; we have crush animal crackers,
that's two and a half cups. You can also use vanilla wafers or graham crackers crumbs if
you prefer that. We have one egg which we will just be using the egg yoke. We have two
and a half table spoons of sugar, we have one stick plus two tablespoons of melted butter
or margarine or reduced calorie butter. We have just a pinch of salt, this one pack of
silken tofu. Silken tofu is different than regular tofu and that it's airy and it's a
lot smoother. This is twelve ounces. We have two cups of mashed pumpkin, I'm using canned
you can also use fresh if you do use canned just make sure you don't use pumpkin pie mix.
We have one and a half of a teaspoons of cinnamon, three quarters of a teaspoon of nutmeg, a
quarter of a teaspoon salt, one teaspoon of vanilla two tablespoons of molasses, half
of a cup of sierra bore honey, and a quarter cup of oil.
