More than 200 million dollars in financial assistance is awarded to K-State students
each year. This includes twenty-one million dollars in scholarships, many of which
are four-year renewable scholarships.
K-State also provides students with their own personal financial advisor and Powercat
Financial Counseling.
Powercat Financial Counseling is a free service provided to students to help them with loans,
budgets, and other financial issues throughout their college experience.
Students also earn money for college by working for K-State and through Federal Work Study.
Students who work on campus are not only earning money to live and learn but are also providing
a friendly and fun atmosphere for the university.
Other programs for students include the Army and Air Force ROTC where students gain a hands-on
experience while receiving aid for college.
There is a wide range of living options to call home at K-State. They include fully furnished
residence halls, scholarship houses, an on-campus apartment community, and around forty-five
Greek chapters.
Most students live in one of these options their freshman year and instantly become a
part of a safe, affordable, and engaging living environment.
K-State's Housing and Dining Services is nationally acclaimed and continues to win

Campus is not only a great place to live and learn, but studies show that students who

Students can access an academic resource center with computer labs, study lounges and multimedia
classrooms, conveniently located right within their dining center. Choose a living learning

When living on campus, K-State wants you to be safe. K-State student IDs double as electronic
key cards, allowing students entry into their assigned halls and all dining centers.
In case of campus emergencies, K-State Alerts is a system that will notify students directly
by text message and email.
K-State's campus is well lit and patrolled by police. There are even services like Wildcat
Walk and SafeRide to help escort students on campus and around town.
