Let’s add our contact information so students will know what our office hours are and how to get ahold of us.
We’ll start by clicking on tool link.
In the tools, select contacts.
I’ll make sure it’s available to my students.
And I’ll move it up here to the top of my menu.
Let’s first just create a contact.
We’ll fill out the needed informaiton.
Any additional information you want to give
can be included in the notes area.
I want to make students can see this contact information.
And I’m going to upload my image.
Blackboard prefers that the image be 150 pixels wide.
I’ve noticed that Blackboard will take a rectangular image and make it square.
So, what I'll do is I'll crop my image
into a square first.
I’ll save this file and I’ll upload this.
Even if this picture isn’t a 150 wide or is larger
it's going try to resize but at least it won't distort my image.
You can add any personal link that you want.
I’ll just type one in and click submit.
Blackboard has told me that my image is larger than 150 pixels wide, but it didn’t distort my image, it still
a square so I don’t need to worry about that.
If you want, you can create a folder for T.A.s or for guest speakers.
Simply click on create folder.
Give the folder a name.
Enter the folder, and create contacts like you did before.
Our contact information is now available for our students.
