>> Hi. I'm Paula Guhin. The techniques here are just two of numerous such ideas you'll
find in the book, Creating Decorative Paper. [pause]
Transform ordinary paper with gorgeous effects using solvents, resists, and many other methods.
Here we'll get some striking results with shellac-based ink and with Colourcraft's Brusho
powders. [pause]
We're working on good, smooth watercolor paper and using a spray bottle of water.
You can soak your paper first, of course. I'm re-wetting my paper after soaking it earlier.
[pause] Brusho is pure pigment in powder form
It seems to burst on the wet page when I sprinkle it on.
Sennelier shellac-based inks also spread with a nice wet-into-wet effect.
Tilt your paper to spread the color even more. (Use this paper as the basis for a painting
with further development, or in any number of ways.)
