Hello and thank you for your interest in ClickShare
Today I would like to tell you how you can use your iPad with a ClickShare system
The first thing I'm gonna show you is the ClickShare app,
which will be available from the Apple Store
Then I'm going to show you how to use a hardware add-on: the ClickShare Link
But first I'll show you the app
The first thing to do is to connect it to the base unit's Wi-Fi
You can do this by going to your settings and typing in the password – which is default
ClickShare
That allows your iPad to communicate with your base unit
Next I go to the app
I select a pdf from my local documents and press ClickShare
And I'm now on screen
If you want to show more than just static content,
use the ClickShare Link
This comes in a box containing the power supply, a USB cable and a converter
The easiest way to hook this up is to simply plug into the power supply,
plug the USB into the back of your unit
and then use the HDMI-DVI convertor
You'll have to purchase a HDMI cable and a HDMI converter from your Apple reseller
These come in two types: either the 30 pin dock or with a lightning cable,
so buy the one that's best for you
And then you put them together
I'll just disable the app
And then I see my iPad's display on the screen
This allows you to completely mirror what's on your iPad on your central display
It's truly a case of 'what you see is what you get'
You can also show moving content
You can also use your ClickShare Link using AirPlay,
but this does require that you purchase an AppleTV
So what I'm going to do now is hook my AppleTV witch its HDMI output into the DVI of my ClickShare Link
Then I'll see the AppleTV menu
So the first thing you need to do is to get the AppleTV,
and connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your ClickShare Base Unit
So when I go into the Apple menu I select the Base Unit,
which I know has this serial number, and then I type in my password
You'll notice that you won't have Internet access and this is normal,
so simply continue without the Internet connection
Accept the policy
IMPORTANT: when you first install the AppleTV, you'll always have the AppleTV menu on your screen
This, of course, won't work with the ClickShare system
So we have a solution for that
You can calibrate your ClickShare link so that the menu from your AppleTV won't be shown
You can do this in the web interface
Simply go to 'setup Link' and it automatically identifies that there's a Link attached
Then you click 'start calibration' and you'll see some green on your screen
This is the system recognizing the Apple menu, so it won't be shown in the future
When the calibration is successful you will see your ClickShare wallpaper appear
Now I'm ready to use my iPad, and I can do this by enabling AirPlay
So, first thing,
I have to make sure that I'm on the same Wi-Fi network as the ClickShare Base Unit and the AppleTV
As you can see here: ClickShare/ the serial number of the ClickShare Base Unit
Then I need to launch AirPlay
I select my AppleTV and I turn mirroring on
It takes a few moments, and then I get complete mirroring on my screen
So you can scroll through, click through a calendar …
Basically: what you see is what you get
So thank you for your attention, and I wish you all every success in using
your iPad with your ClickShare system
