Aloha. I'm Synneve, the great hair guru, and I'm here to tell you more salon secrets. Today,
I want to teach you the different types of bangs.
The first thing you need to know about bangs is that in some countries, like England, it's
considered a bad word. To avoid embarrassment and to make sure I don't offend any one, I
like to use the proper name which is fringe.
Fringe can be a quick and easy way to change your entire look. If you want to look refreshed,
younger, or add a new twist to your boring hairstyle, you should consider cutting fringe.
There are many different decisions to make when cutting fringe. Here are the steps I
recommend. Step 1 - Watch my How to Decide if Fringe
Will Look Good video. It's Salon Secrets #13. It will tell you whether or not fringe is
the right thing for you. Step 2 - Once you have decided to cut fringe,
I recommend looking at pictures and talking to your friends and your stylist about the
different types that would be good for you.
Step 3 -- Then you need to decide which type of fringe would be best for you. You can choose
straight down fringe or side angle fringe which go to the side of your choice.
Step 4 - Then you will need to figure out how much fringe you want; a small, medium,
or large amount. If you aren't sure, start with a small section first. You can always
add more later. If you like more drama, then go with a larger section like I have.
Step 5 - Next determine whether you want short fringe or long fringe.
Step 6 - The final decision you need to make is whether you want one length fringe or textured
fringe. For a flatter, heavier look, go with one length fringe. For a fluffier fringe you'll
want to add layers or some texture. Follow all of these steps when you are on
the fringe of changing your hairstyle. For more Salon Secrets visit loveinsideout.com.
Mahalo and have a great hair day.
