DENNIS: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
I'm Dennis Marsico.
SAGE:And I'm Sage Steele. Back again to give you all the tips you need to enjoy a successful race.
DENNIS: And a successful party, oh by the way! The ultimate, "Runner's Night Out"!
DENNIS: I'm a runner. And I'm out!! Woo-Hoo!!
SAGE: Folks, before we can delve into anything about the big race we must
FIRST show you how to get around.
SAGE: Transportation has been arranged for those staying at select Event Host Resorts.
Buses will be indicated by event transportation signs placed in the front windows.
DENNIS: If you are staying at one of these Host Resorts,
you can check with your front desk for a pick-up location.
Participants staying at the Host Resorts are strongly encouraged to use the event transportation
to the Expo due to other events taking place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex that weekend.
DENNIS: The busses will run every 30 minutes from Walt Disney World Resorts
to the race during these times:
DENNIS: And another reminder - To make it to your corrals at the start by 9:30 p.m.,
participants must board buses no later than 8:00 p.m.
Guests not staying at a Host Resort will need to provide their own transportation
and those driving personal vehicles will be required to park at Epcot.
DENNIS: This just in! THERE WILL BE NO PARKING AT ESPN WIDE WORLD OF SPORTS COMPLEX OR
DISNEY'S ANIMAL KINGDOM THEME PARK ON RACE EVENING.

For runners driving to Epcot on race evening, the race shuttle from Epcot
to the sports complex will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.
The parking fee at Epcot will be waived for runners and spectators
arriving after 7:00 p.m. on race evening.
Please allow enough time to ensure you are parked at Epcot no later than 8:00 p.m.
DENNIS: On the evening of the race, participants may place necessary items
inside the goodie bag provided at Packet Pickup and check this bag at the event site.
DENNIS: Remember, do not put other bags inside the provided bag.
All bags must be checked by 9:00 PM and must be claimed by 2:15 AM.
DENNIS: Now that you are all ready to race, a couple of words about Race Etiquette.
SAGE: I was wondering when you were going to bring this part up!
DENNIS: It's important!
SAGE: It's part of how we can enjoy the race, so it is important!
DENNIS: Yes! Ok! Let's do this!
DENNIS: Some hints on etiquette:
DENNIS: Stay inside your assigned corral. Don't run or walk more than 2 abreast.
Move away from water and food stations as soon as you get yours.
And you know who you are. Let others know when you are coming through
Move aside as other runners pass you. And remember, you must maintain a 16 minute per mile pace.
SAGE: Alright, let's talk about food! And drink!
DENNIS: NOT the party goodies! The RACE food and drink!
SAGE: Water and some yummy food will be available for all race finishers
in the finish line and family reunion area.
Please be courteous to those finishing behind you and take only one of each item.
SAGE: Dennis! Where did you get that bagel?
DENNIS: I'm running. To the party. Thought I'd grab some food.
SAGE: You know you're not supposed to run...
DENNIS: Yeah. Yeah.
SAGE: You need to be careful eating that bagel and running at the same time.
DENNIS: Speaking of, it's time for a...
DENNIS: SAFETY REMINDER!
For the safety of yourself and the other participants,
the following are prohibited from the course:
strollers, baby carriers, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards,
crutches, walkers, and animals of any kind.
If you are seen in violation of one of these you will be removed from the course
and transported to the finish line area.
DENNIS: And as you're enjoying the ultimate, "Runner's Night Out',
