What can you do if you're injured because your landlord didn't make necessary repairs
to your apartment? Hi. I'm Ryan Harrell and I'm a personal injury attorney here in Ohio.
I had a case where a woman fell through her bathroom floor because the floor was in terrible
condition. She had talked to her landlord about this and complained about it but he
hadn't done anything. When she complained about being injured to her landlord, he actually
filed an eviction action against her and sought back rent. In response to the landlord's claim
The landlord refused to accept responsibility for these injuries because he said he didn't
know about the condition of the floor. At a proceeding prior to trial, we were able
to convince the landlord that he should pay for my client's injuries and we were able
to get her paid for her injuries and her pain and suffering and we were able to get the
case against her dismissed. Why am I sharing this with you? Because you may be in a similar
situation and you may have been injured because the landlord didn't make repairs to your premises.
If you have questions like this, this is the sort of case I work on every day and feel
free to give me a call and I can answer your questions. Give me a call at the number below
and we can talk. Thanks so much for listening. I hope you learned something and have a good
day!
