Hi, it’s Steve from PartSelect. Today we’re going to show you how to change a door gasket
on your dishwasher. A really easy job, no tools required. Let me show you how we do
it.
Now to begin this repair we’ll open the dishwasher door, and what we’re going to
try to get a hold of is the bottom of either side, enough to pull that gasket out. If you
can’t get it with your fingers, stick a flat blade screwdriver in there just enough
to get a piece of it. And simply peel it out; all the way around.
Now with our new gasket, we’ll take note that there is a couple of ribs on either side
closer to one edge and that’s the side that will go in first. So we’ll start the bottom
on both sides, make sure we don’t have any twists in it.
Now once we’ve got both bottoms pushed into place and verify that we have no twists in
it, and then simply just start pushing it into place up both sides.
Now once it’s all flush in there we just close the door to set it into place; and check
and make sure it didn’t pop out of anywhere and that it’s flush all the way around.
And our repair is complete.
We told you it was an easy job. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your repair.
