Lindsey Graham Reacts to Kushner Report: ‘I Don’t Trust This Story as Far as I Can Throw It’
I dont trust this story as far as I can throw it, says Sen. Lindsey Graham when asked about Kushner report https://t.co/YrXbMMgzIS — CNN (@CNN) May 28, 2017.
Friday saw the dropping of yet another blockbuster story that has sent the White House reeling when it was reported that President Donald Trumps senior advisor — and son-in-law — Jared Kushner attempted to set up a secret communications channel with the Kremlin during a meeting with the Russians in December.
In response to this news, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) let it be known that he doesnt really buy any of it.
Appearing on CNNs State of the Union, Graham was asked by guest host Dana Bash his thoughts, with Bash adding that one-time independent presidential candidate Evan McMullin called the act treasonous..
If true, this is treasonous activity, whether borne of malice or naïveté, or both. https://t.co/Wm4rk3bgtC — Evan McMullin (@Evan_McMullin) May 26, 2017. Number one, we are chasing our tails as a nation when it comes to the Russians, Graham stated.
I dont know who leaked this information, but just think about it this way — youve got the Ambassador of Russia reporting back to Moscow on an open channel, Hey, Jared Kushners going to move into the embassy!.
He added, I dont trust this story as far as I can throw it!. Graham went on to state that it made no sense that Ambassador Sergey Kislyak would report back to the Kremlin on channels that he knew were monitored.
