What do you mean you can’t tell me how Iowa is going to go?!?
This is Buzz60 Politics, I'm Jay DeDapper
Believe it or not this insane election season is almost (finally!) over but the politeratti
are beside themselves – how can we do our job blathering about Obama and Romney without
good polls?
Now that Sandy has loosened her grip on the national media just a bit, it’s back to
the same-old same-old: Who’s up in the Gallup poll? What’s happening in the swing states?
What impact will Sandy have on the election?
And the answer is: Brace yourself. We don’t know.
National tracking polls like Gallup won’t be back with a daily report until practically
on Election Day.
Swing state polls have gone on like nothing’s happened but they’re all lagging on what
impact Sandy might have. After all Barack Obama’s bromance with New Jersey Governor
Chris Christie – a big Mitt Romney backer -- didn’t get blasted all over TV until
Wednesday night. Throw in a weekend over which polling is generally tougher and presto! It’s
time to vote.
I know this is hard for the political chatterboxes but here’s the reality. We really won’t
know until Election Night who’s going to win and by what margin.
Which is how’s it supposed to be, no?
