Hi, I'm Audrey Parramore, with the beadingdr.com. I'm your beading expert, and I'm here to show
you how to tie a square knot. In using square knots in your jewelry there are several ways
you can incorporate in it. Here's a piece shown here, and I'm actually going to show
you how to create a square knot using two different cords that I have here, satin cords.
So, I'm going to lay this out right here, and I cross the left hand in over the thread
over the right, and bring it under just like that and I have it down there. Then, I'm going
to cross the end that is now on the right over the left as you can see there, and it
parallels this piece of jewelry exactly, and then I'm going to pull both ends. I'm actually
pullin' from both sides. And then, you're going to notice a square knot just like that.
I'm actually going to show it to you. I can duplicate it in this piece too, okay, so you
can see how it works well in a jewelry piece. So, I have the jewelry there, and do the same
thing, and bringin' that over, crossin' it under. Then, I'm going to take this side and
cross it over. Then, as you see now you have a square knot that you can incorporate in
your embellishment in your pieces of jewelry. Let's have fun after you've done that creating
square knots and many of your jewelry pieces. Audrey Parramore, thebeadingdr.com, your beading
expert.
