Hi, I'm Trevor Bending from OpticsPlanet and I'm here to talk to you about the SureFire G2X Pro,
a great everyday light for any consumer.
The first thing you might notice about the G2X Pro, it's a little smaller design, you're about five inches,
four and a half ounces.
Nice, lightweight small light, perfect for everyday use.
Leave it by your dresser or throw it in your purse.
you can leave it in a glove compartment, perfect just everywhere.
SureFire G2X Pro has two different settings on there, first is 15 lumens
Say you hear that bump in the night, you don't know what's going, you don't want to ruin your natural
night vision with a bright light.
Half click on right here you have a 15 lumen light.
Enought to show everything but you're not going to ruin your natural night vision.
Second click on you're going to go to a 200 lumen light.
Perfect for seeing that item in the distance.
Now the presssure switch on the back is kind of a cool feature.
You can hold it down for pressure to have a momentary on. Or you can click it
down to have a constant on. You know, great feature from SureFire.
You might also notice a crenellated bezel right here, this features if you have the light on
and you set it down on a desk or a piece of paper or anything
for that matter, you don't want to burn. These lights will actually burn what they're placed
on. They're so bright, 200 lumens is pretty bright, so the crenellated bezel
disperses the light. You can actually see when it's on when it's set it down. Just a nice little
feature that SureFire puts in their lights.
The G2X Pro is powered by two CR123A batteries that come included in
the package.
The batteries power an LED light and on the low setting 15 lumens you're going to get
45 hour run time, On the high setting 200 lumens
you you're going to get a 2.5 hour run time.
That's an extremely long run time for a 200 lumen light. You don't find
that too often in flashlights.
Now construction wise
the body of the G2X Pro is polymer,
extremely durable, SureFire is not going to put a bad product out there, it's going to take a lot of
abuse.
