I'm Emma Bridgewater. I've been potting in a factory in Stoke-on-Trent for
twenty five years now. I was
amazed by how moving it was. I felt
sold moved by that.

fantastic. What I've always found is that when everyone's turning right, have a look to the left
and everyone told me
you shouldn't go in to manufacturing. So I thought, why not? I think I will.
and you don't want to stay making in Stoke, everyone's going abroad. Why?
I think I'll stay here.
Don't do the obvious. I think it is easy to get cast down and think, gosh there is a huge pressure on jobs.
You might have to make your own job.
My husband, Matthew Rice, has done quite a bit of teaching and we've travel bursaries and
we've recruited people from here. We think you're fantastic.
