[Sac State Tweet Up]
>> And this is the Sac State Tweet Up [cheering] so, first off thanks to everyone for being
here. Give yourselves a round of applause.
>> Hey, this is Blake Benizia, with the Sac State Tweet Up.
>> Alejandro Reyes here with the Sac Tweet Up.
>> And, we're here to tell you today about this great networking opportunity with students.
>> So, we started up the Sac Tweet Up a few years ago, wanting to connect local business
owners offline, get them connecting in person. Where real business and real life happens
and so.
>> Tell me why did you come to the Sac State Tweet Up.
>> I'm actually a fashion blogger and a Sac State student.as well.
>> Well, I came out for the networking. I'm going to be graduating next week and looking
for a job. This is the perfect opportunity to network with people.
>> So, Jeremy, quick question for you: what are you getting out of this event right now?
I mean what are you getting out of it so far?
>> It's just a great opportunity to connect with other freelancers out there. There are
so many people out here who are running their own businesses. They may be single person
business owners, maybe part of a small company. And, when you're freelancing
or you're just working out there on your own, it's easy to forget that there are other people
that are part of your community, whether personally part of your
community or part of your business community. And, the Sac Tweet Ups are a great way to
connect with other people. It's just a great reminder that you're not out there alone and
that there is a community out here that's interested in helping you acheive
your goals, as well as just making Sacramento a more business-friendly environment.
>> And, what brought you out to the Sac Tweet Up today?
>> I wanted to network with local business professionals and get to know a lot more of
the Sac State students.
>> Well, being a graduate, I wanted to see what the students were up to and I heard about
it on Facebook and on Twitter and I saw you o Good Day Sacramento and KCRA.
>> I believe that alumni have the power to do anything and that we all need to come together
as a community to bring Sac State together and to bring the alumni back into the system
to really work together to make small business in Sacramento really work.
