Hey guys how's it going
well today i thought i would give you a behind the scenes look at the
cod vs cod series and how i put it together, what's involved
and how much time i spend on the whole process and all the different things
that come together and go into making these videos
now if you've done any kind video editing or production
i making
even a short amount of video takes an absolutely gigantic amount of time and effort
now making the cod vs cod series is quite a lengthy process and does involve
a huge amount of different components so thought it might be interesting for
those of you can make youtube videos
or even for you guys who don't just to get an idea of how i make these videos
and how it comes together
so basically i break it down to different stages and the first thing that i do is
research
"let's do this"
so firstly i want to make sure that i know exactly what games the weapons that
I'm doing is featured in
and this can usually be done pretty easily by looking at things like the cod wiki
but i usually double check weapon lists from different games as well to make
sure that i haven't left anything out, or that i haven't confused one variant with another
Variant. Once in a hurry guns i need to find city sticks for its onto the most
consuming part of the research and that's fine but the statistics
this is uh... you break this down to a couple of different stages so firstly i
look at what the statistics on sites like since it came out in person and a
couple of different ones as well and depending on the games involve this
could be a pretty straightforward tossed but often all fine conflicting dot org
dot if it doesn't match up
which means that a font of the source of information and if all else fails and
the daughter that i collect matches up than i have to go into something
interesting monitors confirm the statistics that i've got
so i gather all the information that i get into a spreadsheet of student excel
and i do this so that i can easily convinced that side by side
and only very few key statistics that will show at a glance how the weapons
different performance
and these include things like damage range
but sometimes like in the case of soccer rifles i have to take a more in depth
look at some delays albeit statistics uh... my files way
and downside statesmen
unless things tonight to see pretty fun
opera dot all the game research i did move on to the real world research and
all day visit the manufacturer's website and read up on the actual gone
the bacardi relations in with different attachments sisters itself therefore
but i usually take a quick look at wikipedia
to have a look at things like he's trade disputes internal knowledge of the
weapon
potentially any other info that i didn't get from the manufacturer signs
now love research really does very sometimes
information is easy to get sometimes it's hard
concert can be anywhere between two to four hours to all the research that i
mean
the next part of the process is the design phase
quiet
that this is what i have to cradle graphics that i need
there at five to six different graphics out that i need for a trivia and i've
got a template set up in photoshop which really says we can connect time
but even with the templates are sometimes have to spend a significant
amount of time for shopping
for teenagers and stuff so that my works out
the design prices doesn't take me to honk and usually can be anywhere from
one to two hours
the next thing i need to do is then sit down and get a game play
you know it
this sometimes happens before doing anything else and sometimes it happens
right end
it's never did really the same admit it fits into a schedule
if i really feel like playing with us and governmental tomorrow and get the
idea to do with the uh...
if it's a weapon has been suggested in the comments then usually the gameplay
will come later on because i'll have to read up on the weapon maybe it's what
identity when houston so i'll put it off
have gameplay time ten very huge amount and it depends on a lot of factors if
i'm having a good night or not
sometimes i can't find a lobby with a decent connection or in the case kuji
before will be without hackers
it also depends on if it's a gun i've used before so if it's not a government
used i have to let let up
found sergeant rival the attachments which in the cases some weapons such as
the shotguns in world war fat-free can be a very long and painful process
originated at who alice with the game played they're going to get enough clips
are pull up to be anywhere between two six hours to get the gameplay
the next critical parties the scripts quiet
writing the script finally comes after a couple the research collectible gameplay
nineteenth
putting all the info and all the gameplay freshmen on makes it much
easier to write a script
and you jenny takes me dot now on
leads at this time that i picked the winner sometimes is obvious right from
the start like in the u_n_ p forty five inside richman is going to win
usually el nino offered analyzed all the info and had a good plan each respective
ovarian
once i've got the scripts all recorded voice over
and this doesn't take very long to deduct ten which we minutes depending on
how many polluters i make
i recall the audio directly into final cut pro an inevitable the rubbish itself
soul of this could take about an hour again it depends on how many believed is
there on occasion lee after listening to the first edit only two reports of
dialogue because background noise or because i'm not happy with the tonight
you saw the end result in general
so lot but it takes about an hour and a half to record delia
canada
video editing is the next thing that i usually do and this is actually one of
the easiest and quick response the whole process
you wouldn't think said that it only takes about twenty minutes to find
common conflicts from
shirelles with the gameplay and that will be another thirty minutes to
arrangement over tapes graphics and music
together with the voice service so all up probly maybe an hour and a half to do
orienting
her drop on the way
was to be a support group to get out the last thing that i need to tease exported
year fall and watching a few times to see if i can any mistakes would catch
something that's not and outright
such as incorrect information
music levels of memphis batted it now
if something needs to be fixed and i get back to the editing stage and not make
the fix this last part of the process can take anywhere from fifteen minutes
to an alloy depending on
how people to do that i find and what's involved corrected
pull up on average i would say that it takes about fifteen hours worth of work
to produce a five to six minute video
it does seem like a lot but uh... i really enjoy the whole process so it
never really feels like that long
that you can make an understanding of out getting in at the same karte karte
opt each week very difficult tically because i work full time
and uh... if i want a social life with you anything else as well and obviously
fifteen alex few weeks he's water
find to be spinning on one thing
sorry i hope you guys famine interesting and entertaining and maybe even useful
if you've got any questions about any part of the process of the things that i
wanted to quickly usually the questions don't comment section below
but otherwise likes watching guys and uh... yeah pocket she left
once upon a scripts all-out record the
