Train how you fight. That's the soldier way. Daniela Vestal reports.
[gunfire] >> We caught up with the scouts of the 1st
Squadron, 13th Regiment, who come out to the range often to train in
different scenarios. >> We actually incorporate a real-world situation
where the gunner will be firing and once he's out of ammo,
the guys inside will have to give him the ammo, and he'll have to reload the ammo.
So it's more like a real battlefield situation. [gunfire]
>>[Vestal] The 50-cal is one of the highest caliber weapons the Army has
and a primary weapon used by scouts when engaging the enemy.
It is important for soldiers to come out here often
and familiarize themselves with these weapons. >>Yeah. These will be the actual weapons we
use. The weapons we're firing now will be the ones
we take to Iraq or Afghanistan with us. [Torres] For more on this and other stories,
