Transcendental Meditation is a simple
and simple means just that, simple – not complicated - simple, natural technique.
Natural means there is no suggestion,
there is no manipulation. There is no
pretending, it's just a human being natural technique.
It's practiced for twenty minutes twice a day sitting comfortably in a chair.
During that twenty minutes what happens is the active thinking mind,
your everyday active thinking mind, has an opportunity to settle down and experience quieter levels of thought
and quieter levels of thought,
and then experience the deepest most settled level of the mind,
we call it pure consciousness or transcendental consciousness
or the source of thought, or in physics they call it the unified field.
And as the mind settles down to experience this, the body gains a very profound state of rest.
And that deep state of rest eliminates deeply rooted stresses,
and that experience of
pure consciousness, the source of thought within,
wakes up the whole brain,
enlivens the whole brain. So after our twenty minute period of TM
when we return back into activity, we have more energy
more creativity,
more intelligence.
We are more ourselves.
People practice Transcendental Meditation not as an end in itself
but as a preparation for daily life.
