Good evening, dear friends.
As we had promised last time round
here we are at the PowerPlay Manager headquarters
with our latest video.
We have a special guest today
Along side me you can see the chief developer Vlady
who will help me answering your questions which we promised in the last video
and talk about the things which we would like to share with you.
So, let's start with the questions which you have been asking the most
and which have been taken from the forums by our people.
There are few questions for me. Question number one:
How are you satisfied with the new design of PowerPlay Manager?
Has re-design fulfilled your expectations?
This is quite a complicated topic because
whenever you talk about the appearance of anything, it's really up to personal taste.
But it needs to be said that the original design that we had was really old
and it didn't fulfill the expectations, especially of the new players.
We realize that it was satisfactory for the old players who were used to it
and actually, the change of design caused some complications for them,
because they had to get used to new features
new menu and other things.
But globally we are satisfied with the design.
It's true that for some people who were on the brink of quitting the game
this was the last drop that led them to actually quitting.
But on the other hand, the new managers like this design
so in that regard.... If we hadn't done it back then, we'd have to do it now
so for us it's all the same.
Next question: When do you plan to implement the announced changes in hockey?
Hockey is a regular topic over here.
To be honest, the main thing we have to care of is basketball
which has come a long way in its development
and it's scheduled to be launched at the end of the first quarter of next year
which is just around the corner
so it's currently the main focus of the team
and as soon as this is done, we will certainly make a few changes in hockey.
What is the reason for canceling the option to send credits?
I would say that the biggest reason for this change is security
and to avoid frauds which were beginning to occur.
We had to react to that because it could have resulted into some very unpleasant situations.
Also, none of the games that I know of have a feature like that.
If someone had lost credits this way, it would have been far worse than this alternative.
In any case, the good thing about this change is that
we will be able to bring you more interesting special offers in the future
than we could until now, so there is something in this for everyone.
Then there is a question:
Will it be possible to play 4 sports after the launch of basketball without the PRO pack?
The answer is very simple,
it will be possible to play all sports, even 4, without the PRO pack
And the last question for me:
Is PowerPlay Manager preparing a project different from those already available?
This question is interesting, because
currently we are working on two projects.
I would rather keep quiet about one of them for now,
but we will announce it soon.
The other project, which I can tell you about
is planned for release before the start of the upcoming Olympic (Winter) Games.
It fits nicely into the winter season
and to be more precise, it's a ski jumping game,
which will be quite unique for us, because
it will be our first game that will have an interactive element.
That means that apart from improving the jumper, jumps, equipment, learning the hills
there will also be an option to do the ski jump itself
and get the distance and break records this way.
You will control the jump it with a mouse or a keyboard.
So far we like it a lot and soon you will be able to see a preview.
So that's what you can look forward to and we hope you will do some ski jumping with us.
Now I would like to pass the torch to Vlady who will answer a few more questions.
Thanks. The next question is about basketball. You're asking:
Will a similar auction of league places that was in handball also take place in the next sport?
The truth is that this auction has been a great success
also from the financial point of view for the company.
There really is no reason not to do it again.
What's more, it had another positive effect.
The fact that people have paid for their places in the top leagues
has greatly increased retention of the managers and these leagues are much more alive.
These people are not leaving, because they really want to play the game
so, in the end, it is a good thing for all the managers involved.
There is one more question here:
Could you tell us some details regarding basketball?
For example, I can already tell you that we will have 7 attributes.
Unlike the other sports, there will be no primary attribute
but the players will practice pretty much all of them,
depending on what position they play.
There will be 5 types of players
but one player will be able to play several positions
because the differences between the positions will not be that great.
There will be plenty of options, I am sure you will enjoy that.
I can also tell you that the basketball engine is virtually fully designed,
and we are just waiting until we can start programming.
I think we made another step forward regarding the engine
and I am pretty sure it will be even better than handball.
I would also like to mention that
we are preparing a new way of negotiating sponsor contracts.
You will be getting more offers and they will be more varied.
There will be much more room for strategic thinking.
We will certainly publish more details later
and we would perhaps like to introduce this to the other sports as well.
I just have a few more announcements to make
I would like to remind you that we have a competition on Facebook
where you can show off your card collections,
whether they be hockey or soccer cards.
You can send a photo of your collection and win an interesting prize.
We have also started to publish basketball rules on the weekly basis.
Or some interesting facts from basketball as well.
If you don't know much about this sport, be sure to check out our Facebook page
and maybe you will learn something you didn't know.
That's all for now, thank you for watching and we look forward to the next video.
I would just like to say that the next video will be a special Christmas edition
which you can really look forward to and it's coming later this month.
I hope you will check it out as well, see you and farewell!
See ya!
