On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Laura Banford and I'm going to show you how to make super
lasagna and Caesar salad. Today we're going to make super lasagna and Caesar salad. This
lasagna is a great dish. Most lasagnas are. Aren't they? But this is really terrific because
it's homemade with a couple of short cuts. I'm going to use store bought, but very good
quality, Alfredo sauce for one of the layers. I'm going to start with a little bit of marinara,
but it's really plain. Extra *** olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper, and tomatoes.
Just like you would make if you started completely from scratch. Then we're going to doctor it
up and make the sauce our own. We're of course going to have delicious creamy mozzarella
and ricotta, both, and sausage. I'm going to use some no boil noodles, which I'll talk
about a little bit later, which makes a nice light lasagna. Sounds heavy maybe, but it's
not. It's really light and delicious. Then we're going to make a Caesar salad from scratch,
totally from scratch. You can buy Caesar salad dressing, open up a bottle, and pour it on
to the romaine, but it never tastes quite right as if you do it yourself with all the
classic ingredients of Worcestershire and egg yolk and Dijon and garlic, all that good
stuff, in a chilled bowl. It's going to be a great accompaniment to our super lasagna.
When we come back, I'll show you the equipment that you need to make your lasagna.
