TODRICK HALL: Hello, everybody.
This is Todrick Hall.
I'm from American Idol and um--
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Hi, I'm Lauren Gottlieb from So You
Think You Can Dance and Glee.
TODRICK HALL: You're on Glee?
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: I'm Lauren Gottlieb from So You Think You
Can Dance and Glee.
TODRICK HALL: That's the problem.
I need an and.
From American Idol and something.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: And um--
TODRICK HALL: Hey everybody.
This is Todrick Hall.
I'm from American Idol and YouTube.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: There you go.
Got the and.
TODRICK HALL: Yes, I did.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: I'm Lauren Gottlieb from So You Think You
Can Dance and Glee.
I'm really excited for Dancing with the Stars, especially for
tonight, because I think it's the make it or break it.
It's the first time everyone sees you.
The cat's out of the bag.
Can you dance, can you not?
ANNOUNCER: Ron Artest and his partner Peta Murgatroyd.
TODRICK HALL: I don't think they could have gotten anybody
better to open the show.
He had the perfect energy.
He was hilarious.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: He's going to be really fun, I think.
TODRICK HALL: He's my favorite so far.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Well, yeah.
We've only had one.
TODRICK HALL: That's very true.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Mm-hmm.
TODRICK HALL: (SINGING) I'm Rob Kardashian,
and I move like this.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Kristin said at the beginning she want to
not be known as a [BLEEP].
Because she's not a [BLEEP].
TODRICK HALL: But that's just something [BLEEP]
say sometimes.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: And I don't believe her.
TODRICK HALL: Kristin Cavallari.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: No, she really did do a good job.
TODRICK HALL: She did do a good job.
And she's so pretty.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: She's gorgeous.
Chynna and Tony got a 22.
TODRICK HALL: The rehearsal was a hot mess.
The rehearsal, it was like--
I mean, I don't know.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: There wasn't much hot.
It was just a mess.
-And I go, boom boom--ooh!
-Ooh.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Ooh!
TODRICK HALL: All right!
Watch out, Nancy!
Show us what you're working with.
And she showed us what she was working with.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Not so much.
TODRICK HALL: Which was not very much.
You know, I said that I had never seen her legs before.
She never showed her legs.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: We saw them.
TODRICK HALL: We saw them.
They were there.
Both of them.
And they moved.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Yeah.
TODRICK HALL: Not necessarily to the beat or to the
choreography or to the dance that we were watching.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Not so much.
TODRICK HALL: Elisabetta and Val.
I don't even know which one of those names is the girl, but
either way, I was not feeling that performance.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Why not?
TODRICK HALL: She's going home.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: It was the kick!
TODRICK HALL: A kick.
It was the kick.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: OK, wait.
OK, she went like this.
She went kick, and.
TODRICK HALL: And it was not a good fan like that.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: That wasn't even good!
TODRICK HALL: That was better than what she did.
She was like--
and she was so proud of it at the end too.
You know in her head, she was like, I did that.
I kicked that leg.
Next.
Hope is beautiful.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: She's stunning.
TODRICK HALL: I can't say anything bad about her from
the neck up.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: I think she's one of America's favorites.
But when I hear that she was doing the Viennese waltz--
TODRICK HALL: And that's difficult too.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Yeah.
She's not just sitting up there shaking her stuff.
TODRICK HALL: Yeah.
I feel like there was supposed to be something else there.
She don't have it.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Let's just keep making her spin, make her
spin, make her spin.
TODRICK HALL: Let's just spin for eight eight counts until
the end of the dance.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: JR and Karina.
Did you see that lift?
TODRICK HALL: I saw it.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: It's just beautiful.
TODRICK HALL: He's good.
And his story's awesome and his personality is charming
and he's witty.
He's got everything.
It's the whole package.
And this is America.
Where else could somebody like that share that story?
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: You are on a tangent.
Keep going.
TODRICK HALL: (SINGING) Can I get an amen?
David Arquette is hilarious.
I watch it and laugh because it happens to be the song that
got me kicked off American Idol, so that was already
negative points for that song.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: That's one of those too soon things, right?
TODRICK HALL: It was way too soon.
But anyway, at the end he just--
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: That's why you were really quiet when we
were watching it.
TODRICK HALL: Mm-hmm.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Oh.
TODRICK HALL: (SINGING) Couldn't even watch the dance
because American Idol didn't give me a chance.
All I kept thinking of is how I never had nobody to love.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Damn!
TODRICK HALL: Well, entertainment wise, Carson was
my favorite.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: Carson was reality TV.
When everyone is trying to be peachy keen.
How'd you do?
I think I did great.
TODRICK HALL: Hi, nice to meet you.
LAUREN GOTTLIEB: No, he was doing his thing.
TODRICK HALL: He was like, moves like Jagger.
I've got the moves like Jagger.
Riddle me this.
Who do you think's going home? (SINGING) I think we're
sending Elisabetta goodbye.
But thanks for watching, thanks for watching, thanks
for watching FYI.
Yeah.
