The Korean government will provide a bundle of incentives for Korean companies operating
overseas that are looking to return to the domestic market.
The Industry Ministry says that it will select 20 so-called "U-turn" firms next month,...
as part of efforts to stimulate investment and create jobs.
The move follows a set of support measures for such firms that went into effect in December
of last year. The first batch of companies will be chosen
from China, Bangladesh and Cambodia. A number of firms are choosing to return as
they are losing their cost-cutting edge,... due to rising labor costs.
The so-called U-turn firms will be able to receive discounts on land rental prices, capital
investment support and tax deductions.
