[Jason:] If you're a web designer, you're designing all this stuff
and then you've got the web developer doing the technical stuff.
But in my case, I'm doing both the creative and technical.
[Sharon:] They're teaching you how to design, develop, implement and maintain websites.
[Jason:] There's a lot more going on behind the scenes than a lot of people realize.
We were taking Photoshop classes and taking database driven website classes.
[Sharon:] HTML and XML, which are back-end programming.
Principles of graphic design-- to make the designs and make the pages pretty,
that was a really interesting course...
[Jason:] If you've got the curiosity of what's making these pages do the things
that they're doing, then that's something to pursue.
[Sharon:] It's a lot of work but it's definitely worth it and by the time you're done,
you will have one magnificent website to show for it.
