Have you ever wondered what you would be doing all day if you were a Hippopotamus? Well,
you may think they spend all day eating to keep that rotund figure, but they mostly graze
after the sun sets. During the hot part of the day, they stay close to the water. They
spend about 16 hours a day in the water, munch on some aquatic grass or laying out on the
bank. Then once the sun goes down, they start walking to find food and lots of it. A hippo
may eat up to 85 pounds of grass, shrubs and fruit a day.
So, a hippos life is not all that exciting when compared to ours. Although I would like
to spend a day at the lake. Thanks for watching our Hippopotamus fact.
