US Secretary of State Clinton on Middle East tour. As part of her tour this past week of
United Arab Emirates, Oman, Yemen and Qatar, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton met
with foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Qatar to discuss peace in
the Middle East. They also discussed stability in Lebanon as well as cooperation between
GCC countries and the United States. In addition, Secretary Clinton met with His Majesty Sultan
Qaboos bin Said al Said of Oman to commemorate his 40th anniversary as leader. She was also
welcomed in Yemen for the first state visit from a US official in two decades.

Council members for your amicable dialog and cooperative advancements. Blessed be such
efforts in fostering peace and friendship with the United States and throughout the
