In his televised address, President Kenyatta said as of Tuesday five attackers were shot
dead and 11 suspects are in custody.
When it comes to victims, CNN reports most of the deceased are Kenyans, including six
British citizens, two French nationalists, two Indians and two Canadians. Witnesses say
the gunmen "quizzed shoppers about their faith before deciding whether to kill them, releasing
Muslims and targeting many others."
This is the deadliest terror attack in Kenya since Al-Qaeda blew up the U.S. Embassy in
1998. That attack killed more than 200 people.
