Materials may be placed on reserve, either in print or electronic format.
You can find them by clicking the "Course Reserve" tab on the library's catalog
search page.
To locate print materials held at the Circulation Desk there are drop-down fields
that allow you to search by instructor or course number
or both.
For instance, if you select your instructor's name from the drop-down
menu,
the search brings up a list of materials on reserve for that instructor.
You can then find the reserve materials for your course using the course numbers
shown by each item.
If your instructor has placed material in Electronic Reserves,
you should click on that link to bring up the E-reserves home screen.
When you click on the "Electronic Reserves & Reserves Pages" link,
you'll find four options for searching.
The default search drop-down menu allows you to search by course number or other
information.
In this case, when we enter the course number "BIOL410,"
we go to a screen that shows which sections of Biology 410 have
E-reserves available.
When you click on the course number next to your section you'll be taken to a
copyright agreement page.
You may be required to enter a password specifically assigned to your course.
If you do not know the password you'll have to contact your instructor since
the library cannot give you a password for E-reserves. By accepting the copyright
terms who can then access the E-reserves material for your course.
If you know your instructor's name, you can select that tab and choose your
instructor from the drop-down menu.
You can then select from a list of the courses taught by that instructor.
Be sure to follow the links on the E-reserves home page
for more important information about using E-reserves.
