Hello, my name is Penny Smith, and I'm a North Carolina real estate broker. I'd like to talk
to you today, about how to find home foreclosures. Home foreclosures are done by banks, and they
typically have to go through the court system, in which it is registered with the court,
that this home is in foreclosure. If you go down to your local courthouse, you'll see
a bulletin board, and on that bulletin board, there are right now, way too many pieces of
paper, attached to that bulletin board, every single week, about new homes that are being
foreclosed on. You can go through and search that. You can also, if you know how to maneuver
it, go to your local courthouse website, and you can click on, and find the foreclosures
that way, that are on the website. It is not easy to buy a foreclosed home. I highly recommend
that you have a real estate agent, a broker that is used to the forms that is required.
You will also have to have already in place, a mortgage loan approval, so you'll need to
see a mortgage broker, and get that set up ahead of time, before you find the house that
you want to buy, and that is how you find, a home that is in foreclosure, is to go through
the website, or to go down to the courthouse, and look on the bulletin boards. Thank you,
and I hope you have a good day.
