At SAS our goal is to help students learn to be comfortable with themselves and discover
their learning styles. Instead of just working against their challenges we help them work
with their strengths. We see the transition within a broader context. It doesn't just
stop at summer orientation, it carries forward throughout the university experience, and
it isn't something you have to face alone. In fact, forming new support networks is how
you will be sure to succeed. That's where we come in. Student Accessibility Services
offers different supports and accommodations for Mac students with disabilities. This includes
students who have a learning disability, ADD, Asperger's, an acquired brain injury, a mental
health disorder or a chronic sensory, mobility or medical disability. We work with full-time,
part-time and prospective students and have a number of services to assist you with your
academic disability-related needs while you're here at Mac. You can find us in room
B107 in the McMaster University Student Centre, and reach us at the e-mail sas@mcmaster.ca,
or the phone number 905-525-9140, extension 28652.
