Ok, Ewelina. First day is over.
We have done a lot of things.
So let's see, how much you remember.
I'm pretty sure... you will remember everyting.
So, can you tell us: "Was siehst du hier?" [What are you seeing here?]
Ich sehe... ein[en] Computer.
Ich sehe ein[en] Kopf.
Ich sehe... hm... ein Handy.
When I say "Kopf" is masculine, how would you say it then?
Hmm... Ich sehe einen Kopf...
Very good.
und ein Handy.
Sehr schön.
Good enough. Very nice.
So, how would you ask me to... close my eyes?
Machst du dein[e] Augen auf. -Ok- ... [E. correcting herself] zu.
Ok. Kannst du das nochmal sagen? Augen sind zwei.
Machst du die Augen zu?
Very nice. Ok.
Next thing. Hast du... what do you have?... Hast du ein Auto?
Nein, ich habe kein Auto.
Hmm. Möchtest du ein Auto?
Ja, ich möchte... ich möchte ein Auto.
Sehr schön. Hast du ein Handy?
Ja, ich habe ein Handy.
Möchtest du noch ein Handy?
No, danke. Nein, danke. Ich möchte kein Handy... mehr.
Sehr schön. Super. Frag mich.
Hmhm. Hast du [der] Kinder?
Ob ich Kinder habe?
Hmhm.
Nochmal, bitte.
Ähm, hast du... Kinder?
Hmhm. Ja, ich habe ein Kind.
Hmhm. And, äh, möch[te]st du, noch
mochst - möch... - möchst - ...test. Möchtest
du noch ein Kind?
Nein, ich möchte kein Kind mehr.
Sehr, sehr schön. Ist das dein Stift?
Nein, das ist nicht mein Shint[?]... Stift.
Ja. Sehr schön.
Das ist dein[e] Hülle?
Prompt: Ist... Ist das dein[e] Hülle?
Meine Hülle? Hm... Ja, das ist meine Hülle.
Ok. Ist das dein Kopf? [Repeats]
Ahm, nein, das ist nicht mein Kopf.
Ist das dein Kopf?
Nein, das ist auch nicht mein Kopf.
Das ist Agas Kopf.
Sehr, sehr schön.
Good enough. Really nice, ja, for only three hours and
you've worked so far only more or less three hours
on your own. It's an immense achievement.
Ok. So, let's talk a little bit about your feelings.
How do you feel? How are you? In English.
Now you can speak... easily.
I feel so very excited about the project.
We did a lot of work, together.
And I also put a lot of effort and work into it myself.
I'm tired. A little bit anxious and frustrated.
because it's the first day, so... I still don't know so many things.
Why are you frustrated?
Ach, you know, there's... there's so many new words
that I don't know. So, you are outside of your comfort zone
and you really... I don't know how to explain that, but...
You would like to speak fluent after the first day.
After the first hour you'd like to be able to know everything.
And, obviously it's impossible. But I can see that, hmm...
I'm getting there. And... it is working.
Very nice. You have still ninety minutes to go today.
So you can do that anytime later. And, hm...
I think tomorrow we will even start with the past tense.
So we can talk more or less about everything you have experienced
and that you will experience. Really nice.
I can just say, I have rarely met someone that gifted if [when] it comes
to acquiring new information. The grammar obviously is not a problem.
The main work here is vocabulary work.
It is. I have to agree. It's an incredible amount of vocabulary that needs to be
memorized daily. And there are many techniques to do it really. So...
I'm really happy that I'm able to learn new techniques to do it very quickly
and efficiently.
So, how do you judge the memrise app e.g.?
You're working with memrise, ne?
I do, ja. It is... I think it is... Mike: How's your experience?
very good. I think it's really helpful. I really like the use of "mems"
which are enabling you to memorize vocabulary instantly.
Nice, very nice. Good, let' see how we continue tomorrow morning.
Really nice. Thank you so much a great first day.
And we will see what comes out of it. Ewelina: Thank you.
