Well a group went away early which we missed it today.
And that stayed away most of the day. We were really about
conserving our guys to get this hill at the finish cause we thought we'd hoped
we could certainly consolidate top fifteen. Our greatest hope maybe a top ten.
Went close to that. Jack was in the top twenty. Wasn't great but wasn't bad.
It is difficult in this weather to you know it is very energy sapping but we had
plenty of cold drinks and ice to them but it is the same for everybody else and
it is just a toughness thing. You got to deal with it and get through it. Caleb got
through it okay. He is a bit stiff and sore but he got through it fine he was fine he
was okay. It is all part of what we do. Yeah I head there was a bit of a spill for
one of our riders Bradley? Yeah coming just down the gorge or whereever
about twenty k out, couple of the French team, FTJ guys dropped their things.
He was right behind them and slid into the fence but he was okay. He was up at 'em
before we even got to him so he was alright. The best climbers stood up and it was
great to see Cadel Evans back into form and it is great for the race. He stood up and rode away.
I personally did not get that much time gap but he did and good on him, he is a champion.
We might be looking close to the young riders jersey I don't know who was in the front group.
I just don't where we are at and we will target that. We will try and get in a group
if we have to gain some seconds. I really need to see where we are at today.
Otherwise bring it to a finish and Caleb's good. We will see how good he is tomorrow
because it will be a big fast sprint. finish which will suit him.
