this review is for the blue Yeti
microphone / blue pop filter / blue
radius shock mount / Road PSA one boom
arm I purchased the set up on my own
accord with no encouragement or
incentive or compensation from any
company referenced within this review I
am expressing my thoughts and options
etc based solely on my personal
experience thank you for continuing to
view this video focusing on the blue pop
filter one can see straight away it is
full metal construction including its
mesh screen it is somewhat pricey at the
time of purchase and review however I
wanted a matched set of equipment the
pop filter is solid works as advertised
looks very nice complimenting the blue
Yeti microphone but attaching pop filter
to this specific microphone was a tad
challenging a touch of logic some
creative engineering it works I still
have the folded paper to prevent the
thumbscrew from damaging the finish
unless I sit stare it's barely
noticeable here's a close-up of how it's
attached configure to my setup
you
let's focus now on the road PSA 1 boom
arm for $100 road PSA 1 boom arm is a
high quality construction abc123 very
simple installation well under ten
minutes most of that time was deciding
where to place it cable management makes
the system neat clean and orderly the
boom arm is also metal construction very
fluid and stays in position you set it
to attachment to microphone directly or
to the radius mount work like a charm
blue radius shock mount isolates any
vibration that could have been
transferred and picked up by the
recording radius shock mount functions
very well no issues with installation
however I must point out that the white
plastic washers tend to give way not as
good quality there as with the black
rubber type washers used on the Yeti
stand best option is to use yet East and
washers in place of blue radius shock
mount washers to avoid a droopy
microphone
you
you've been eyeing the blue Yeti
microphone since the beginning of this
video the Yeti as its name implies is a
massive beast of hardware I originally
delayed purchasing the blue Yeti and its
price point because i was expecting the
microphone to be much smaller finally I
broke down bit the bullet shelled out
the cash Yeti is solidly fabricated has
substantial weight and three different
microphone capsules in this is basically
the only microphone you would ever have
to buy again depending on your selected
settings yeti is perfect for interviews
vocals instrumentals and music blue Yeti
is well-rounded with minimum care should
last past your lifetime the three C's of
recording are crisp clear and clean Yeti
delivers with vibrant clarity as the
video shows you and close-up overview
you can see the blue system paired with
the road boom arm is a very professional
setup yeti sports real-time audio
monitoring while recording with
headphones of your choosing connects to
your computer via a USB supply cable no
software or drivers to install works
with windows XP through Windows 10 pro I
have not experienced any issues I've
used all windows in between the
above-mentioned operating systems to be
honest I don't remember pervade them
what I said in this original video
therefore I have been highlighting what
I know with closed caption i use yeti
daily asking cortana for information and
perform task while my hands are occupied
typing my voice is very clear to her
even when i have blue yeti off to the
side approximately three feet i can
maintain a normal speaking level no need
to raise my voice for cortana to respond
my general impression of blue Yeti
microphone is positive i would highly
recommend yeti to anyone needing a
well-built quality microphone i'm not an
audio engineer i'm not an audio file
either
but i have used plethora microphones in
my day since i was in my teens blue Yeti
is by far the best microphone i have
used to date should you have any
questions please ask in the comments
below thank you
