Hi, I am Juliana
and and I'm going to present one more video for Sem Fio directly from Toronto.
Today I'm going to show you some of the favorite pastimes of people in Toronto
especially during the winter time.
Watching Raptors games is one of them. They are the local NBA team in Toronto.
There are games up to 5 days a week and it usually sells out.
The games happen at the Air Canada Centre.
They are very affordable and lots of fun, even to those who are not big sports fan.
But Canadians are truly passionate about ice hockey
as soccer is in Brazil.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are the local hockey team
They are the second most successful team in the history of the National Hockey League
after Montreal's team.
There are games up to 4 days a week at the Air Canada Centre
and I don't even need to mention that the games are always packed.
Bars in Toronto also get very busy on game nights.
One of them is Wayne Gretsky's.
He’s the king of hockey in Canada, as Pelé is the soccer king in Brazil.
The bar is kind of a little museum about Gretsky
where you can learn more about his career
as well as see many personal items such as trophies
jerseys of the teams that he used to play for
and the main facts about his career.
You're even able to listen to radio interviews with Gretsky
in the washroom and learn a little bit about the story of his life.
And of course Gretsky's jersey number also comes on the burger.
The fights are one of the most anticipated moments during the game.
If there's no fight, it's not fun.
Go figure...
There is also an ice hockey museum called the Hockey Hall of Fame.
It was founded in 1943
and there you can learn more about players and teams
that have contributed to the development and success of hockey
in Canada and anywhere in the world.
Well, that's all folks! I'll see you next time!
We invite you to like Sem Fio's page on Facebook
