Life is pretty amazing
but sometimes it doesn't feel so amazing. Honestly there's lots of crazy things
that are going on in the world all the time
but when we keep our minds focused
on things that are intense, depressing,
overwhelming, harsh, suddenly we have tunnel vision
to what stinks about life and that feeling
can translate into what stinks about me. When we are coming from that place
it's very hard to tap into our personal awesomeness
and there's an exercise that I want to share with you today that I
do with all my clients and that is how do you cultivate
an attitude of awesomeness.
Now by awesomeness it literally means acknowledging
that you are more than enough. You are amazing.
You were born amazing but you need to train your mind
to see your true awesomeness. How we do that is very simple.
It's a two-week exercise. Right? You can commit to doing something for two weeks.
Get a journal. Ideally it's a place where you can actually write something down.It
may be old-fashioned but I think there's power in that.
So find a place where you can write down three things
that you did during the day that were awesome.
It can be as small as opening the door for somebody
or smiling at a stranger or remembering somebody's birthday, which by the way is
awesome
or you know paying your bill on time tiny tiny things
but tiny things that you knowledge that you did,
were pretty good and by acknowledging them
you are actually cultivating a new way to look at the world.
A new way to look at yourself and really own how amazing you are.
It is great to take the time to make a wonderful meal.
It is great to remember to buy all the things you wanted to at the store and you
get home, you're like whoa,
and when you do all these tiny things you start to really fuel yourself with
the power positive thoughts
but it does take some training because for whatever reason on our planet right
now
society wants us to focus on the negative,
the lack, the horrors of the world
and while I am acknowledging that you can't ignore them you have to be aware
of what's going on
what you really need to experience is the joy
of acknowledging your own personal awesomeness.

It's not a big deal. Three things that you're gonna write that you did that
were amazing.
Acknowledge them. Write them down before you go to bed
and that way in two weeks you will have a completely different
appreciation for your own personal
awesomeness. I guarantee it. It will make you
shift the way you feel about yourself. It'll make you
shift the way you feel about the world. So in the comments below

I'm gonna give this a go and then tell me three awesome things you did
today. You can do this people. Try it.
