Usually I start everything from creating some drums..
Kick drum and some tom drummy bassline..
If it's Minimal/Minimal Techno that I would do..
Get that ADSR envelope into trigger mode, then sound doesn't react to MIDI note lenghts.
This is a kickdrum that I'm working right here.
Gettings some pitch envelope settings..
Copying some settings from oscillator A..
Just a little bit shorter ADSR lenght than A oscilaltor.. I don't want any decaying timbre
Adding more Frequency modulation to the game to get more timbre tonality
Cutting some lowend fequencies but boosting some with Q= resonance bandwidth.
Fine adjusting timbre here.
By lowering or raising deibels how much these frequencies are modulating each other.
Now that subby tom drum bassline.
I'm too tired with adding these captions, but just watch and "possibly" you might even learn something..
CTRL + left mouse and drag a velocity line..
I think this one is some snare or.. hihat..
Wait what am I doing?? added attack?
OH I see, I opened up that MIDI clips modulation lane for attack and put it all the way down so now it's 0 milliseconds.. as it was on default.
Same thing on Decay and Sustain.
Now I have some groove going.. then..
And yes I do know that volume is getting into digital distortion!.. I forgot to put a limiter on that Master track..
Well enjoy the rest of this video..
I know that I will.. I made a sound that I like.
A bit utopic and has some mystery behind it.
Very simple melody ideas, very tiny bass sound..
BIG things..
..has small beginnings..
