Meanwhile, Seoul and Washington kicked off a large-scale amphibious landing drill dubbed
the "Double Dragon" on the southeast coast of the peninsula on Thursday.
It is the largest landing exercise between the countries in two decades, with 12-thousand-5-hundred
Korean and U.S. Marines and Navy personnel taking part.
The 3rd Marines Expeditionary Brigade from Okinawa will participate this year, along
with 22 Osprey multi-mission aircraft. The Double Dragon is aimed at enhancing joint
landing operations and capabilities between the two allies,... as part of the ongoing,
annual Foal Eagle drills. The exercises run through April 7th.
