To ice a cake first you want to start out with a few things. First off you want to make
sure that your cake is on a cake stand that is spinning so it makes it easier for you
to ice. You also want to make sure your cake is on a cake circle so that after it has been
iced it is easy to remove. So to begin icing your cake you're going to want to take some
icing a good amount and slather it on the top of the cake. I'm going to go ahead and
get a little bit more because I want to make sure we have a lot of icing on the cake. With
the back of your offset spatula we going to go ahead and ice the cake by moving the cake
circle. It doesn't have to be perfect the first time because we can go back and add
more icing. To ice the sides of the cake just add a little bit of the icing along the side
here and we're going to use the cake circle and turn and ice the cake. I got a little
bit more and again we're going to ice the cake. If you have any extra icing on the cake
circle just take a damp towel and you can wipe off the excess icing on your cake circle.
That is how you ice a cake.
