I wanted to talk a little bit about Sunstone,
and the one that I chose to pull out to show you guys
in this really nice flat palm stone.
And Sunstone is really awesome.
It's a type of feldspar and it has
some sort of shininess
to it, it has little flashes of light. It's a beautiful
orange-pink color and sometimes they call that shininess a
schiller.
So it has a schiller to it. It's a really great stone for
again, treating Seasonal Affective Disorder. Some people won't resonate so much to the
energy of Citrine for that, but they might
resonate a little bit better with something like Sunstone. And this
Sunstone,
especially in the palm stone shape, can be really easily used to treat that
Seasonal Affective Disorder
by holding it over your Solar Plexus Chakra, which is just
in the front of your body below your ribcage, and
just holding it there for about 10 to 15 minutes, focusing on your breathing, and
becoming centered. What I find really helpful is to actually breathe in that
orange or golden light into my Solar Plexus
and feel it radiate through my body. Because I feel like you're really
visualizing taking the energy in from that Sunstone,
and that's when you can really get a lot out of it.
You've visualized, your intention is there,
and you have the stone making contact with your physical body.
So you're getting that energy and absorbing it in many different ways.
So that Sunstone, it's a wonderful stone.
There are several kinds - there's some really great Sunstone that's more
of a gemmy quality. It comes from Plush, Oregon
in the United States. It's sometimes called Plush Sunstone.
It's translucent to transparent, but if you get it at
just the right angle, you see that schiller which is almost a pinkish-
orange. It is so beautiful but the pieces are normally fairly small,
so I didn't know if that would really show up on the camera too well for you guys. But
if you have the opportunity to acquire some Plush Sunstone from Oregon in the
United States,
I highly recommend it. Although the pieces are small, they really do pack a
powerful punch, so
a good stone to use. You can also get Plush Sunstone that has some green in it,
but that is incredibly rare. It's very very hard to find and it's usually incredibly
expensive. But there
is one area in Plush, Oregon where that greenish
Sunstone does come from. I don't even have a piece of that. I've only ever seen
pictures of it, but it's really cool stuff.
