Hi, Linda Hallberg here Today I'll be doing a hallowen make up
With some diffrent scars and other scary things. I will do this with the help of for example: Latex, fake blood and toilet paper.
I'll start by dabbing latex on my face with a small sponge, and I have poured the latex in a cap
So what I'm going to do is to dab exactly where I want it
and remeber, everyone, that latex isn't especially good for the face, or skin on the whole.
So test on a small piece of skin, before applying it in the face. To avoid allergic reactions
many people are sensetive for latex. Look att my eye, you can see tears coming down
That's because of the latex. It's pretty strong.
So close your eyes when you're dealing with latex That can be an advantage
As you can see I'm applyng toilet paper here, on the latex
which apparently had dried! It doesn't matter if it gets a bit wrinkly because that's actually the point
And it doesn't matter that I cry either Because this side on the face will be rather.......
What should one say?... Unpleasant
So it's just a good thing with the tears coming from my eyes
So what you start with, when you are doing a kind of hallowen make up, or a zombie make up,
is that you star with the base. Just like you do on an ordinary make up.
So this is my base, on which I'll apply foundation and colour and so forth.
And if you are in a rush, because the latex dries slowly, you can use a hairdryer
And just blow, with the hairdryer, on the diffrent layers that your'e applying
What one can do, when the latex has dried, now it's still pretty wet
Is to apply powder on top of it
Now she can look!
This is the most difficult part
and it's good to let it dry completely before applying a new layer, otherwise it will become crumbly and ugly
On top of this I'll put some colour
And this doesn't necessarily have to be the same colour as your skin. because this is suppose to look a bit infected and disgusting
I'm using "Grimas"(brand) cream make up for this because it stays on the best throughout the night and I think it's the easiest to work with
Creme make up on the whole, on latex, stays on better
Ok, the idea about the eye is that it should be a bit black and blue underneath, so that's what I'll apply now
I'll use a smaller brush for that
and if the latex comes loose at certain places then it isn't hard to apply it again
It's just to apply some more latex on it.
Because the latex is like a glue
If you don't have any latex then you can use eyelash glue instead. It works just as well
It's just that you might be needing a bit more. More than a whole tube
In order to do a make up like this What you need is actually:
some imagination, watch a couple of horror movies before look how different wounds and scars are structured
Then it's really easy actually to do it yourself!
Because you don't need to be very accurate It's just to dab away, and it comes naturally really.
When I'm done with this I'm going to show you how to create craters, abscesses and so on with some Play-Doh
I'm gonna make some bumps and stuff in the forehead, For this I will use a tool that looks like this!
And there is some diffrent parts on this tool which makes it possible either to spread it out on the skin, or to make small holes. It almost looks like small spoons
Ok, when you're finished with that, you can dab on some more latex again
To keep getting a rugged surface, I use toilet paper here as well
Be very careful not to get any latex on your eyebrows or in your hair because it's pretty hard to get rid of
It's like getting waxed one can say
Not that nice!
What I'm gonna do now is that I'm gonna split this part in two, like two pieces of skin tissue
And for that I'll use this little needle The top.
And underneath here, you must keep thinking how does it look under the skin? Well it's probably quite red and bloody
That's what I'm gonna fix now!
I'll start by applying a red colour, a pretty dark one, as base
And then add some black.colour
to get more depth
Ok, It's starting to dry up here so I can soon continue whit that
I leave the blood to the end, because it has a tendency to dribble a bit.
It's the last touch, before your done The finish!
Okay, we must have some blood in these cavities, that I have in my forehead, of course!
Like I said, watch a lot of horror movies for inspiration. A lot of pictures and so on, that's where you'll find most inspiration
Colours that can come in handy when you're doing a make up like this one is for example grey
red, blue black and what can you call this colour? It's a bit snot green
and some skin colours and diffrent shades. Like ordinary concealers, foundations and so forth. They are actually very helpfull to have
To get this infected look the colours, that I mentioned earlier, are really good to have
Ok, now I'll put on some blood. And for that I will use a blood paste It's creamier than theatrical blood, not as runny
It's firmer and I'm gonna put it right here on the inside, like little lumps so to say
It should look a bit ***
It's important not to miss putting colors on the inside of these pieces of skin tissue
that we have made. In order to make it look more realistic
Most of this stuff can easily be removed from clothes, but you can't be a 100% sure it also depends on the fabric of the clothes
And when we're at it we might as well sew a bit in this
Now one has to be careful and sew in the fake skin we made, and not to one's own skin, it's easy to miss
So, needle and thread!
All i have now is a white thread, which is pretty boring, so I usually drag the thread through some gray color, to make it a bit more fun
And the thought now, is not two sew this up the top, but just a bit
Like that!
And now I'll fix the rest. A thing like this never really gets finished You can keep on working on one and the same thing forever.
And here comes the fun part! The theatrical blood
It's best to apply with a so called beard sponge. It looks like this!
To get this irregular, what do you call it? dabbing effect
That I'm going to get here now!
This effect is very hard to get with a regular sponge. The easiest way is with a beard sponge
If there are some edges and stuff in the latex, then this is the best way to conceal it
by putting blood right on the edges, then you won't be able to see the latex edges as clearly
To make it look more realistic I usually use two diffrent kind of colours, when it comes to thetrical blood. One that is a bit lighter, and one that is a bit darker
It makes it look better, because it looks more realistic
a couple of drops of that
This kind of blood is often syrup based, so there is no danger if you get some in your mouth. It just tastes sweet, one can say.
In order to get the latex to look a bit glossy, swollen and so forth You can use a oil
I usually use hair oil. Just put it on. Even if this is dead tissue, It should look more realistic
And then it's more glossy in it's finish At it's surface, so to speak
Because the latex gets very dry, when you paint on it
Okey, now I'm gonna put on my lenses. So, I'll have to go and wash my hands!
I'm going to try to putt in the lense, without toching any of the goo, I think it will go well
And if you never have use lenses before, check with an optician before you use one. One should take care of their eyes
Okey, now it's only some small things left including dental varnish, to make the teeth a bit disgusting
This one is from Grimas(brand) and it looks like this!
It's available in a variety of colors. I have tobacco yellow, red and brown
And you just paint it on the teeth
As I said, some small things to fix, here and there
If you want to add some blood somewhere or if you want to, well there is so many things you can do!
So, I feel pretty done here and ready to go to a hallowen party
