I'm Courtney Matlick with Stahls' CAD-CUTDirect. Monogramming is a widely popular form of decoration
for personalizing gifts and creating custom apparel for companies and organizations. The
monograms are created by combining letters typically the initials of the customer or
that of the company into one symbol or design. traditionally, the monograms have been created
with embroidery equipment. But if you don't own embroidery equipment or maybe you do and
you're looking to offer more options to your customers in finishes, take a look at creating
monograms with CAD-CUT materials. Using your heat press and your vinyl cutter is fast and
it's easy for creating monogram apparel. The CAD-CUT materials available offer a variety
of options for fine detail, glitter and 3D effects. Let's take a look at how we can customize
apparel with monograms made by CAD-CUT materials. The most common use for monogramming is wedding
accessories. The monograms are used on everything from invitations and cake toppers, to napkins
and cups. A great way to create something special for the bride's day is to offer a
custom monogrammed sweatshirt to match. Using a sparkle material such as the CAD-CUT Glitter
Flake I'm using here will add something unique then just a basic thread or film. It's also
easy to mix different colors and finishes together. Here I've personalized the back
of the sweatshirt but you can get creative with your heat press and add a small left
chest logo to the front for an additional placement. More placements equals more money
on the job. Get creative and offer to decorate a variety of gift items. To decorate this
tote bag I'm going to swicth out my bottom platen for a 6 by 10 sized one. Because of
the raised straps on the bag I want to make sure they are out of the way of my design
area so there's no problem with accurate pressure on my transfer. Using the smaller platen will
accomplish this. For monograms that are more detailed, I'm using material like SportFilm
Lite that has a sticky backing so it will allow for this design to be easily weeded.
There are many colors available in the CAD-CUT materials that you can incorporate and trending
neons and metallic colors into your design just like I'm using this complimenting neon
blue. Corporate apparel is the most typical market for embroidery and monograms. Again
I'm using my 6 by 10 platen on this button up, so that the buttons don't interfere with
the pressure I need on my design area. With CAD-CUT Flock you can easily create these
same looks for left chest logos on corporate sweaters, vests, or button ups, for a fraction
of the time and cost. This material has a unique raised finish so it will still give
the same great look of embroidery. Great for those cost conscious customers they'll be
impressed with how professional this look is while saving them money. So as you can
see, creating monogram apparel with CAD-CUT materials is fast and it's easy. Now you can
offer your customers a variety of finishes including glitters and 3D effects. To order,
